Well, DTA goes beyond being a simple mod for a game to being a compilation of games itself. Essentially it features the first C&C game improved and the Red Alert 1. Full MP support is good with its custom lobby made thanks to the PPM initiative. It's worth a download if you are looking especially to replay the grand old C&C now more modernised.
The maps are diverse and there are a lot of them and the mod is quite lively for a game it was based on. No major issues with its functionality even on operating systems like Win7, the graphics now somewhat shine with emotions. An Arctic GDI A-10 & resupply base in one of the missions had this feel that both TS and TD never had before. Too bad the number of missions is very limited and the original TD campaigns will most likely never be remade. I can recommend DTA if you are looking in particular for a small weight RTS game that has a lively MP base. That's kind of how I see it minus the obvious C&C heritage.
